I
hope you're having an amazing New Year so far, as I am!
We just finished recording a new single that will be available for
your listening pleasure in the very near future. I don't want to
give too much away (because who doesn't love a good surprise?!)
but I can tell you it's a song written and recorded by one of my
most favorite artists in 1996, our track was produced by Dick
Wagner at Chaton Studios, played on by my Phoenix band,
and with a special guest on guitar, none other than Steve
Hunter! Sigh, I'm so lucky. I even had that horrible flu
thingie that's sweeping the country and my sinuses permitted me
to sing long enough to make a super awesome song that I'm sooooooo
excited about!
Besides the eminent release of (I'm not telling!), lots of new radio
stations and internet radio stations have been adding songs from
"Torch Rock," like wlso.fm in South Carolina
and Carolyn Fox from KHZ in LA has added "Heartbreak
Saloon" to her play list. We love her. Like, the royal we.
Right now I'm visiting friends and family in my hometown of Providence
RI, enjoying my time with my incredible niece, Skye (yup, the one
from the song), she's FOUR now people, with the vocabulary of a
teenager. Have you ever heard a four year old call someone "impetuous"
or "hideous" or say "I'm assuming that..."
Anyhow, I'm looking forward to playing Joe's Grotto
in Phoenix on January 25th, and I will be sure to keep you updated
on upcoming tour dates and local events.
